This policy explains what personal data Mindset Consulting collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short and plain.

Who we are

Mindset Consulting is run by Brian Cashman, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland. We are the data controller for personal data collected on mindsetconsulting.ie. For any privacy question or request, email brian@mindsetconsulting.ie.

What we collect and why

  • Contact form. Your name, email address and anything you write in your message. We use it to reply to your enquiry and, if you choose to work with us, to arrange that work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
  • Booking a call. If you book through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email and the details you give when booking, and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Calendly’s own privacy policy also applies.
  • Website analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people arrive. This uses cookies and collects data such as your IP address, device and browser.
  • Advertising measurement. We use the Google Ads tag to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. When you submit our contact form, Google Ads enhanced conversions may send a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address to Google so it can match the enquiry to an ad click. Google cannot read the original email from the hash.
  • Security and spam protection. Our hosting and security tools (WordPress.com, Jetpack and Akismet, all provided by Automattic) may process your IP address and form content to keep the site secure and filter spam.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner; until then, Google tools run in a restricted mode that does not store cookies. You can change your choice at any time from the “Manage consent” option on the site. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our bookings: Automattic (WordPress.com hosting, Jetpack, Akismet), Google (Analytics and Ads) and Calendly. Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as needed for the work and our legal and tax obligations. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings, for no longer than 14 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct anything inaccurate
  • delete your data
  • restrict or object to how we use it
  • transfer your data to another provider

Email brian@mindsetconsulting.ie and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
